About
About the Hampton Scout Group
The Hampton Scout Group was formed in 2015, the merger of two long and well-established scout groups—1st & 2nd Hampton. Hampton Scouts provides an exciting and adventurous program for the youth of Hampton and neighbouring Bayside suburbs, completely run by the community, for the community. All of our leaders volunteer their time to develop the youth of Hampton to better achieve their goals, learn life skills and become leading members of the community.
Scouting is everywhere!
There are 42 million Scouts in the world today. In Victoria, there are Scout Groups in more than 400 local communities, offering programs and activities for Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers.
Scouting is adventure!
It’s all about new skills, great friends and heaps of fun for ages 6 to 25. It’s an adventure program that encourages life skills such as leadership, resilience, confidence and working well with others. As you move from Joey Scouts to Cub Scouts and beyond, you take over your own program. Young people lead and adults support.
Scouting is for everyone!
Boys and girls, young men and women—and parents. Scouting is an activity the whole family can enjoy together. All are welcome. More than 800,000 young Victorians have grown up in Scouts—and gone on to contribute as adults to the wider community.
